    Bluetooth and windows 2000

    Hi guys!

So, I've bought a Belkin bluetooth adapter and I follow the instructions in the download section (http://32feet.net/files/folders/documents/entry1118.aspx). It works perfectly! Great!

But now I've to use my bt usb adapter under windows 2000. I've search the bth.inf file but there isn't. I've tried to install the bt adapter without insert the installation cd but win don't find the driver. I've tried to go to Microsoft site but I didn't find anything about the bluetooth support for win2000.

Someone can help me? How can I use bt, InTheHand library and win2000?

Thanks for your eventual aids and excuse me for my English

The Microsoft Bluetooth stack software only exists for XP SP1 and later.  The software on your Windows 2000 is probably from Widcomm, which 32feet.NET doesn't support...  We'd love to do so but its quite a big job, anyone like to look at it?  Its SDK is in C++, so I guess creating a .NET interface to it is probably easiest in C++/CLI.

    Re: Bluetooth and windows 2000

In the past, I've tried to use C++ and the widcomm/broadcom sdk, but it's too hard: I've lost nearly a month only for open a connection and  a comunication. To send a file ... I don't know. In the end I develop an application on i-mate PDA-N with MS bluetooth stack and InTheHand library for send an XML file (PIM element) and on computer with windows 2000 I use the broadcom software and the belkin usb bt adapter. It works fine similar on win XP sp2 with InTheHand-based program like file reciever.

However thank u and between little I upload my application on 32feet.net forum with my expierence.

    Bye
