    Re: MMS

MMS is not a standard feature of Windows Mobile but is added by a number of 3rd party providers. They each store messages slightly differently and none of the main vendors seem keen on sharing this information with developers. That is the reason the MMS support in this library is only very basic as it exposes just the common features available.

    Re: MMS

Peter, From what I can see in the ITH 3.0 changes from 2.0, you used to support Body and Attachments from MMS messages but removed it. I understand that there is no standard way to access these features, and I would like to take a "best guess" approach and try to get these properties with all known methods. If I could get some specific devices that'd be great, if not, oh well. My question to you is do you think there is a possibility for 3rd part developers to add functionality to your library to access the MMS, or would it require an entirely different route outside of the InTheHand libraries (working from native code and rebuilding whatever we need). So if you could give some recommendation on whether we should continue to investigate this library for this purpose, or just get started from scratch. Thanks! -MSenne

    Re: MMS

If you know which properties are used to store certain features on your specific MMS client you can use the Properties collection to access properties directly. We are investigating better MMS support for the next version although it may mean supporting a single MMS client (e.g. arcsoft) initially.
