The Manufacturer property returns the manufacturer of the radio hardware, and so yes this can be confusing since you may have a broadcom chip in the device but the Microsoft stack. Historically the software stack was made by Widcomm which Broadcom bought out, previously broadcom produced the bluetooth radios only.

I know that E-TEN M600 uses Microsoft stack, but i found  below text about  it's bluetooth stack :

"It uses an E-TEN-customised version of the Microsoft Bluetooth stack (with support for AKU 1.1), which visually, looks very similar to the Widcomm stack, supporting most of the well-known services that most of you are familiar with (headset partnerships, device browsing, ActiveSync via Bluetooth, file transfers, and business card exchanges)."

Yes, if it's based on the MS stack

I had thoght if I had a HP ipaq and I had upgraded to WM 5.0, it would work with Microsoft stack.

That was true of Dell devices, HP still use the Broadcom stack, even with WM5.0
