Trapping key press events generated when the button on the Bluetooth HandsFree unit is pressed?

     Hi All,

I am working on developing an application on Windows Mobile 5  Phone using Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC SDK. Part of our requirement is to send audio from our app. to the connected bluetooth headset. And the other part is to trap the key up and down events generated when the button on the bluetooth headset is pressed? Is it possible for a third party application to trap this event using 32feet.NET libraries or by using any other method? Also can I use the 32feet libraries to route audio from my app. to the paired bluetooth headset?

Microsoft bluetooth stack is being used on the device.

     Looking forward to some ideas.

     Thanks & Regards,

    Jai

Have a search through the archives.  We've had various discussions on this.  In short, detection the key press should be possible, but the audio is transferred with a lower-layer protocol which need more driver-level kind of development.

Thanks for the post Andy. I searched the archives but could not find something relevant to my query. Could you kindly post the URL link where I might find some information which could help me out?

    Thanks in Advance.

I never remember which way round this works, but I think you can use a service built in to CE, see http://blogs.msdn.com/cenet/archive/2005/08/12/451012.aspx.  That's the 'audio gateway', so that should suit your scenario.

See previous discussion here at the results of e.g. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=site%3A32feet.net+headset&meta= and also http://32feet.net/forums/t/416.aspx http://32feet.net/forums/p/1179/3471.aspx#3471 http://32feet.net/forums/p/1327/3920.aspx#3920

Hopefully there's something useful there, unfortunately none of the posters reported getting it working, so...
